Review: The World's No#1 Madonna Tribute Show From LONDON'S WEST END in India ImageThere are some icons who surpass the boundaries of time, generation or cultures. Madonna is amongst those artists who are revered with the same intensity by millennials and well, their grand mums alike.

So, when a world famous show straight from London, that pays tribute to one of the well known icons of our times was brought to India by Vishaal Asrani and Jiji Subi, fans were bound to go berserk.

For the first time in the history of India, Madonna - The World's No 1 Tribute Show, was presented on stage in Mumbai. British impersonator Tasha Leaper along with her team gave the Mumbai audiences an up-close feel of what it feels like to see an icon of that calibre perform.

The best part about any impersonation remains that the audience is often transfixed forgetting that what they are witnessing on stage is not their icon but the impersonator. And, the show had the same effect not once but throughout the performance. It definitely helped that Leaper has been naturally blessed with strikingly similar looks as her muse. The golden curls, the conical bras, the red pout that set a timeless trend was copied to perfection. But appearances do not alone make a show and here is why Madonna - The world's No.1 Tribute show was a winner. Everything from Madonna's moves to performances were reminiscent of the icon, generations have adulated.

The tribute to the undisputed queen of pop covered all her greatest hits throughout her career including: La Isla Bonita, Holiday, Like a Prayer, Beautiful Stranger, Frozen, Papa Don't Preach as well as her present day material. So if Like a Prayer sent audiences into a trans like state, Papa Don't Preach brought out the lively energy. The team comprising talented artists such as ABIGAIL TURNER -- a professional dancer, model and choreographer trained at SLP college in the UK, who has toured the UK and Europe in various shows including theatre shows and SOPHIA BEBYCK -- a production dancer with Celebrity Cruises and various casinos across America acted as the perfect accompaniment to the performances.

If you haven't had the privilege to watch Madonna on stage then trust us this is the closest and the best thing that you can witness. India, sure needs more shows such as these!
