Giving a further boost to the growing recognition of indie films in India a unique platform received rave success in Bangalore. The first edition of PickUrFlick Indie Film Festival- PIFF 2017 founded by Abhishek Sinha was held in Bangalore amongst much interest both from the fraternity as well as the fans of indie films.

The Bangalore edition of the festival was held from 31st March - 2nd April 2017. A total of 50 distinguished films were screened with 20 premieres. The festival saw a great attendance as more than a thousand people attended the screenings. Both the selection and the concept was very widely appreciated & acknowledged

The jury members who selected the films included acclaimed artists and filmmakers. The jury comprised of Anusha Rizvi (Peepli Live), BhaskarHazarika (Kothanodi), Mahendra Jakhar (Swastika Killer), Sanal Kumar Sasidharan (Sexy Durga) and Rao Narendra Yadav (Founder-Director, Woodpecker International Film Festival).

Abhishek Sinha, Founder, Pickurflick.com, who is looking forward to the big launch of the festival in Delhi says "It's a celebration of the true Indie spirit that is fostering the creativity worldwide. We are presenting a slice of that here. What's interesting is that these films also reflect the current underlying tones be it conflict, gender discrimination or complexities of modern day relationships. We are sure the audience will enjoy the selection of films as much as we did putting it up."

Pickurflick Indie Film Festival-PIFF 2017 is India's first multi-city offline+online indie film festival for independent filmmakers from around the globe. Their vision is to promote good independent cinema and support the indie film fraternity. This year's inaugural edition of the festival received more than 550+ films from 50 countries, out of which around 100+ films were screened across Bangalore and will be screened in Delhi. 100+ films are being screened in Delhi & Bangalore combined.
