Review: OMERTÀ at MAMI Mumbai Film Festival

National Award winning director Hansal Mehta's latest film Omerta received an overwhelming response at the Toronto Film Festival. The film created the same magic at the just concluded Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival.

The movie was chosen for the closing night of the festival and pulled a great crowd of audiences eager to watch the movie. The film also stars the National Award Winning actor Rajkummar Rao who is also flavor of the season as his film Newton has been nominated for the Oscars.

In the film Kumar plays a British radical of Pakistani origin. Both the actor and the director were present at the screening which was followed by a Q and A session, that was moderated by Amit Masurkar.

The director described the session as very charged up and clarified that his intention through the movie was to tell the story as objectively as possible.
