BWW Previews: ZAKIR HUSSAIN, NILADRI KUMAR and Other Maestros to Perform In Mumbai

Four of the country's most famous artists will come together to enthrall the audiences at a music fiesta. Zakir Hussain, Niladri Kumar, Zubin Balaporia and Mohini Dey will be performing at Upaj.

The festival that literally translates to harvest opened to full houses last year. This year too for the lovers of classical music, it is one of the most awaited events in the calendar. The highlight of the event remains the coming together of the mightiest of the musicians together. Tabla maestro Zakir Hussain, prodigal Sitarist Niladri Kumar, skilled keyboardist Zubin Balaporia and talented Bass player Mohini Dey are some of the most respected names in the Indian music industry.

On his thoughts about the festival Ustad Zakir Hussain says, "Performing for Upaj is an ever evolving all inclusive thought process that allows a spontaneous music conversation to blossom between the musicians on stage." While Niladri Kumar sees it as a great blessing to be in the proximity of the Ustad -- the one and only Zakir Hussain.
