If you're a lover of of folk music but would like to explore the cultures of distant lands through its folk music then you may love to watch an Indo-Estonian band. Naad Võim is an Indo-Estonian music project that blends the power of Indian classical, tribal and Estonian folk music.
Estonian folk singer, Anna Hints, collaborates with Indian musicians from varied musical backgrounds such as Dhrupad, Khayal, Sufi and Carnatic, under the artistic production of Delhi based filmmaker Tushar Prakash. The resulting sound is unique yet powerfully traditional. Keeping sound and thematic concepts hand in hand, the musical ensemble creates hypnotic live shows that have claimed to induce deep spiritual and meditative experiences amongst the audience.
Visit The Stein Auditorium at India Habitat Centre on 1st December or the Oddbird Theatre on 3rd December to experience this unique musical journey.
