BWW Previews: MEN, SEX & DHOKA, A NEW PLAY Explores Infidelity

When you have a play with a title as provoking as that, there is bound to be some interest in it. Men, Sex & Dhoka, is a new play to be staged in the capital, later this month.

As the title suggests, the play is about sex and how it is intertwined or perhaps not intertwined with the idea of love these days. Written and directed by R.S. Raghu, the play is a practical look into what love and relationships mean in the modern times.

A lot has been written and shown about infidelity in the past too, so it remains to be seen how this play fares into the often explored area and if it brings along with it a newness or a novelty of ideas. However, the look of the cast does hold promise and it may be fair idea to book an evening for the viewing. Relationships and all its various aspects have always intrigued not just theatre but cinema and all popular forms of entertainment. If you are keen on understanding how this theatrical presentation of love, betrayal, cheating may be a reflection of current times, it can be certainly worth a watch.
