BWW Previews: APPOINTMENT WITH DEATH at Panna Bharat Ram Theatre Festival

Lovers of whodunits have a fabulous thriller lined up for them this weekend in the capital. Agatha Christie's famous play Appointment with Death gets a Hindi presentation at the ongoing Panna Bharat Ram Theatre Festival in the city. Directed by Sohaila Kapur, the play traces a riveting plot full of suspense.

The story revolves around an American family that is vacationing in Jerusalem. The matriarch of the family is sadistic and domineering. She has three children and a daughter in law who are completely under her thumb. Other tourists enter the scene and a cheerful scenario turns into a grim one with the death of one of them. Was this murder? Each member of the entourage has a motive and is therefore under suspicion. And then one of them stumbles upon the truth.
