Amar Muchhala has something unique about his music. He is said to be the only tenor (a voice type between a bass and a baritone - the highest of the ordinary adult male range) from Mumbai. Amar who has performed in various countries is now gearing up for his performance in Mumbai. ? ?
Talking about his upcoming performance he says, " The concert at the NCPA is essentially a 'recital' where I will present arias/songs from operas along with orchestral excerpts played by the Symphony Orchestra of India Chamber Orchestra, 30 strong, under the baton of conductor Evgeny Bushkov."
Amar Muchhala a Bombay native pursued an operatic career after his opera studies in the world-renowned opera course at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, London. Talking further about his upcoming performance he shares, "The operatic genre demands years of training as a singer to allow for the seamless, naturally amplified, vocal production that delivers purely an acoustic experience - there are no microphones or any other form of electronic amplification. The program consists of some of the most exquisite, yet unknown pieces from the Lyric Tenor repertory. The emphasis will be on the quality of music making and the expressiveness of the operatic Tenor voice, accompanied by the SOI Chamber orchestra."Show details:
