The play, on which this fantastic new production is based, had been written by Áron Tamási, exactly 60 years ago in 1952. It is a real musical adventure for young and old alike about patriotism, betrayal and the ordeals of life...

The director, Szilárd Somogyi has a vision of a truly innovative show with the elements of an adventurous operetta and a bohemian fantasy tale to be enjoyed by both adults and children. This musical adaptation has been created by László Tolcsvay with Tamás Bori's lyrics, who used traditional Hungarian folk melodies and popular world music elements to create these unique, yet extremely catchy songs, all of which are destined to be hits soon.

The story takes place in Fairyland, where the old king, Lámsza arranges a tournament, where the winner would not only win the throne and the crown, but also the king's daughter, Jázmina. Suitors come and go, some of them win and some of them fall, but in the end only one of them, Józsiás prevails. But before our heroes could live happily ever after, they have to face the second best suitor, Bakszén, son of the devil king, who is not entirely satisfied with being a runner-up and challenges Józsiás, who has to protect his newly earned throne and his one and true love.

Based on the fundamental notions of moral, ethics and humanity, this wonderful fable teaches us never to give up our fights, and in spite of the tribulations of everyday life, carry on, and always try to conquer the forces of evil, both in ourselves and in the outer world.
