SEUSSICAL at Deluxe Theatre

Houston, Texas – November 3, 2022 – Moore vision Entertainment is thrilled to kick the Holidays off with the family musical Seussical, a fantastical musical journey that brings together all of Dr. Seuss’s beloved characters.

Oh, the people you will see and the thinks you will think! In Seussical the cherished Dr. Seuss books have been turned into a magical musical extravaganza from Tony winners Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty. The imagination runs wild amidst the toe-tapping cornucopia of musical styles, ranging from Latin to pop, swing to gospel, and R&B to funk. For kids and parents who grew up reading Dr. Seuss books, this musical stage show adaption of the classic stories will be fun for the whole family.

Seussical follows the entertaining adventures of Horton the Elephant who must protect his friends, in the invisible world of Whos, from the naysayers of the Jungle of Nool. He is also entrusted with the task of guarding the abandoned egg of Amazing Mayzie. Horton faces ridicule, danger, kidnapping, and a trial. The powers of friendship, loyalty, family and community are challenged and emerge triumphant in this beautiful story, perfect for the kid in everyone.

Many of Dr. Seuss’s beloved characters are brought to life in Seussical including The Cat in the Hat (BRALYN MEDLOCK), Horton (JAMES HAMRICK), Jojo Who (ADELINA DWYER) Gertrude McFuzz (KRISTEN HERINK), Amazing Mayzie (LAUREN MULACEK), Mr. Mayor (TY MOORE), Mrs. Mayor (OLGA SCISCO ), Sour Kangaroo (ANDREA RILES), Young Sour Kangaroo (SANAA JOHNSON) Wickersham Brothers (JOHN BELLARD & SAMUEL JONES), Bird Girls (KATIE CHAISSON, PATRICIA LABARCA, AMBI ANUH-NDUMU), General Schmitz (GREGORY HUTTENHOWER). Additional cast members include SAVANNAH LAURENZANA, JAHNIAH PELREAN, JAHLIA PELREAN, SEAN SANTIAGO, JAZMINE SANTIAGO. 

Seussical will be directed & choreographed by MONROE MOORE, music direction by TIKISHA SANTIAGO, Assistant Director VICTORIA TEBET, the full production will be designed (set, costumes, & props) by Moore Vision Entertainment Creative Directors MONROE MOORE, KATHRYN MOORE, CLIFTON MOORE, & TY MOORE.

 Seussical will run from Friday, December 9th through Sunday, December 18th. Matinee performances are at 2:30pm and Evening performances are at 7:30pm. Special Industry Night performance Tuesday, December 13th @ 7:30pm with discounted tickets for creatives.  Performances are held at The Deluxe Theatre located at 3303 Lyons Avenue Houston Texas 77020.  But tickets online at www.moorevisionentertainment.com or the day of the performance at the theatre.
