Motherhood Out Loud, written by a collection of celebrated American writers, unfolds a series of monologues on the many aspects of maternity and shines a light on issues of motherhood in the 21st Century. Motherhood Out Loud shatters traditional notions about parenthood, unveils its inherent comedy and celebrates the deeply personal truths that span and unite generations as it shows all facets of a family. From birth to old age, Motherhood Out Loud reveals the humor, raw emotions and rocky roads experienced in life. The stories are as varied as the mothers who tell them--from adoption to gay parenting, from sending a child off to college to sending a child off to war, from the joy of cradling a newborn baby in your arms to the pathos of parenting a teenager, an autistic or a transgender child--all are stories of unconditional love.
