Hilarious Hijinks Abound at the Pearl Theater with Lend Me a Tenor opening May 8, 2015
Take one world-renown opera singer, knock him out in a hotel room, add a jealous wife, an impersonator, an overly ambitious bellhop, toss in some double entendres and innuendo, people running around slamming doors, and you have the recipe for a hysterically funny evening of theater. Ken Ludwig’s farce, Lend Me Tenor tells the story of tenor, Tito Merelli, who is scheduled to star in “Otello,” but as soon as he arrives in town things begin to unravel – and fast – before he even has the chance to leave his hotel room. If you love comedy, you are in for a treat. Director, Cleo House, Jr., says, “It's going to be 2 hours of cotton-candy-at-the-circus-fun: Sweet and delicious!
