Vincent Victoria Presents will be presenting an updated version of the play "Dreamgirl Deferred:The Fictional Ballad of Florence Ballard". The play is an inspired by real events dramatization about the final year in the life of Florence Ballard, the founder of the legendary girl group The Supremes that also featured Mary Wilson and Diana Ross.Ballard tragically died in 1976 poverty stricken at the age of 32 after being fired from the group in 1967
.The play was chosen to be read in 2022 at the prestigious National Black Theatre Festival.
The show runs May5-14 at Midtown Art Center 3414 LaBranch. Performance times are 7;30 pm for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday Performances, 2pm for Sunday performances and an additional matinee 2pm Saturday performance for May 13.
