A Doll's House at Stoic Theatre @ UST Drama

Stoic Theatre (at UST-Drama) opens their 24/25 season with a modern and riveting adaptation of A Doll's House!  Ibsen's celebrated play thrust drama firmly into the modern age when it premiered in 1879. Now, nearly 150 years later, acclaimed playwright Amy Herzog makes freshly relevant a story that shocked audiences and brought forth a new era of theatre. Herzog's thrilling, compact and devastatingly contemporary adaptation runs a mere 110 minutes. Henrik Ibsen's Et dukkehjem (A Doll's House) premiered at the Royal Theatre in Copenhagen, Denmark, on December 21, 1879. This adaptation of A Doll's House premiered on Broadway at the Hudson Theatre on March 9, 2023. (Concord Theatricals)

Directed by Artistic Associate, Michael Morrison, this production includes Emily Buessing as Nora, Kariyana Chanté as Kristine, Janssen Gutierrez as Torvald, Chad Rodenberger as Dr. Rank, Hayden Moore-Slay as Krogstad and Melanie Tanguay as Anne Marie. 

Rounding out the creative team are Angel-Illyanna Garcia (Assistant Director), Eric Domuret (Lighting Design), Michael Morrison (Director/Sound Design/Set Design), Caitlin Kennerson (Prop Design), Brian Buck (Technical Director), and Mariah Harmony (Publicity). 

Ticket prices range from $7-$17 and can be purchaced via www.stoictheatre.ludus.com or www.ust-drama.com. Run Time 1 hour and 45 minutes (no intermission). Show Dates: 9/27, 9/28, 8/3, 8/4 at 7:30 pm and 8/5 at 2:00 and 7:30 pm. Performances are held in Jones Theatre (upstairs) at 3910 Yoakum blvd Houston Texas 77006.
