On the heels of Bayou City Theatrics' wildly popular regional premiere of A CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS in December, the Peanuts gang returns to The Kaleidoscope, October 10 through 24. Charles Schulz's beloved comic comes to life in Clark Gesner's classic musical, YOU'RE A GOOD MAN, CHARLIE BROWN.

The whole gang is back to restore your cherished childhood memories of reading the Sunday morning comic strips! Lucy (Heather Hall) is hopelessly in love with piano prodigy Schroeder (Erik Olmos Tristan), who refuses to give her the time of day, Sally (Victoria Riley) is still making fun of Linus (Tyler Galindo) and his baby blanket, Snoopy (Christian Quiroga) is plying Red Baron on top of his doghouse, and Charlie Brown (Michael Morrison), the original "blockhead," is still trying to win the heart of "the little red-headed girl over there." Comic-strip-like vignettes of the characters span from Valentine's Day to "Beethoven Day," with toe-tapping tunes and energetic choreography. This revised version, with additional music and lyrics ("Beethoven Day" and "My New Philosophy") by Andrew Lippa and dialogue by Michael Mayer, won the Drama Desk Award for "Outstanding Revival of a Musical" and was made popular by Broadway royalty Kristin Chenowith as Sally and Anthony Rapp as Charlie Brown.

YOU'RE A GOOD MAN, CHARLIE BROWN is directed by BCT guest artist, Will Ledesma, with music direction by Jane Volke and choreography by Michelle Mayo. The production runs Saturdays at 2:00 p.m. and Sundays at 5:00 p.m., October 10 through 24, at Bayou City Theatrics' downtown theatre, The Kaleidoscope (705 Main Street, Suite B, at Capitol). Tickets are available for purchase ($35) at www.BayouCityTheatrics.com, or by calling the Box Office 832.817.8656. Tickets are available at the door, although BCT encourages purchasing tickets in advance to secure seating in their intimate venue. Convenient cash parking is located less than one block away at the corner of Capitol & Fannin, in the SAKS' garage.
