Set amidst the razzle-dazzle decadence of the 1920s, CHICAGO is the story of Roxie Hart, a housewife and nightclub dancer who maliciously murders her on-the-side lover after he threatens to walk out on her. Desperate to avoid conviction, she dupes the public, the media and her rival cellmate, Velma Kelly, by hiring Chicago's slickest criminal lawyer to transform her malicious crime into a barrage of sensational headlines, the likes of which might just as easily be ripped from today's tabloids.
Direct from Broadway, Paige Davis will be playing the role of Roxie Hart. On television, Paige starred as the host of "Trading Spaces" (TLC) and "Home and Family" (Hallmark), and is a 2013 Emmy Award Nominee for "Home Made Simple" (OWN). She is the author of Paige by Paige, a New York Times bestseller. Paige is no stranger to the road as she has toured as Charity in SWEET CHARITY, Babette in BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, Roxie in CHICAGO, THE VAGINA MONOLOGUES. Regional productions included Agnes in I DO! I DO! (Old Globe), Maria in THE SOUND OF MUSIC (Pittsburgh CLO), Val in A CHORUS LINE (Austin Musical Theatre), April in COMPANY (Missouri Rep). Visit Paige online at www.PaigeDavis.com.
