Pulitzer Prize-nominee Rajiv Joseph's latest work, The Medusa Body, will be produced by the Alley Theatre as part of its 2010-2011 season.

The Medusa Body is set to play at the Neuhaus Stage this season. No specific dates have been annouced. The rest of the 2010-2011 Alley season has yet to be released.

Rajiv Joseph recieved a Pulitzer Prize nomination for Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo. The show is a lyrical, haunting new play set against the backdrop of the war in Iraq, in which the lives and, in some cases, the afterlives of two American soldiers, an Iraqi translator, the ghosts of Saddam Hussein's sons Uday and Ousay, and a Bengal tiger all intersect in a surreal, darkly humorous and gently balanced view of war and its aftermath. "Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo" had its world premiere at Center Theatre Group's Kirk Douglas Theatre in May 2009.

The Alley Theatre is a professional resident theatre company under the direction of Artistic Director Gregory Boyd and Managing Director Dean Gladden. It is one of the few American Theatre companies that supports a company of actors, designers, artisans and craftspeople throughout the year. Productions are built and rehearsed in a 75,000 square foot state-of-the art facility, one of the largest of its kind, adjacent to its two-theatre complex in downtown Houston.
