This summer, The Health Museum will be the place for children and teens of all ages to explore medical sciences and the human body through hands-on interactive camps and workshops including the Summer Discovery Camps and its annual Global Teen Medical Summit. Teens from around the world will join local youth and teens at Houston's most interactive science learning center to participate in activities such as simulated surgical procedures, dissections, robotics, and 3-D prosthetic printing, among various others.
The Health Museum is now accepting registrations for its annual Summer Discovery Camps and the eighth annual Faces of Innovation: Global Teen Medical Summit 2017. Summer Discovery Camps at The Health Museum are open to children ages 5 to 13 years old, while the Faces of Innovation: Global Teen Medical Summit 2017 is open to all current 9th to 12th grade students.
"As a member institution of the world-renowned Texas Medical Center and a local museum that has proudly earned a reputation for providing fun and engaging learning opportunities, The Health Museum is uniquely positioned to bring the best of our medical community together for local and international youth," said Dr. Melanie Johnson, president and CEO at The Health Museum.
