The Grand 1894 Opera House Presents The Berenstein Bears in 'FAMILY MATTERS' Today

The Grand 1894 Opera House presents Serious Fun performance The Berenstain Bears-Live "Family Matters, The Musical" today, October 23 at 10am. Appropriate for children grades K-6, this live musical production is filled with fun songs and dancing while teaching important life lessons. Brother hides a bad test grade, Sister gets carried away greeting everyone she meets, and Doc Grizzly points out that all the Berenstains are eating way too much junk food. The story comes to life on stage while learning the importance of honesty, health and safety, but most important of all-what truly matters is family.

The Harris L. Kempner Children's Series at The Grand is supported in part by donations to The Grand's Permanent Fund in Mr. Kempner's memory. Additional support is provided by the following: Dr. Leon Bromberg Charitable Trust, Harry S. and Isabel C. Cameron Foundation, The Commodore Hotel on the Beach, Jamail Galveston Foundation, Robert W. & Pearl Wallis Knox Foundation, Marathon Petroleum, Permanent Endowment Fund Moody Memorial First United Methodist Church, Target, Saltwater Grill, Bush and Associates and Texas Commission on the Arts.

Ticket prices are $10 for adults and $6 for children. Student group rate is $5 per student with advance payment. One complimentary chaperone ticket is provided for every 18 students.
