An annual holiday favorite that delights audiences of all ages - City Ballet of Houston's presentation of The Nutcracker returns to The Grand 1894 Opera House on Saturday, December 9 with performances at 2pm and 7:30pm; and Sunday matinee, December 10, at 2pm. The Nutcracker tells a story of a young girl who dreams of a Nutcracker Prince, a Sugar Plum Fairy and a fierce battle against a Mouse King. Following the two afternoon performances, audiences are encouraged to also experience the "behind the scenes magic" of The Nutcracker. Look forward to hearing a brief presentation about the ballet and having the opportunity to meet City Ballet of Houston's dancers. This special presentation is included with your ticket to either the Saturday or Sunday matinee performance.
In addition to attending one of three outstanding performances of The Nutcracker, families can also look forward to the delightful opportunity to attend "The Nutcracker Afternoon Tea." This popular and festive annual tradition will be held on Saturday, December 9, at 12:30pm at The Grand. Bring your cameras as you'll want photos of your children or grandchildren as they meet the dancers from City Ballet of Houston's The Nutcracker cast. Tickets for the Tea are $30 per adult; $25 per child.
