The Ensemble Theatre commemorates Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in its "Celebrating the Creative Journey" series with KING: THE LEGACY LIVES ON. The show is on Sunday, February 18, 2018, at 5:30 p.m. in The Ensemble Performance Centre (3535 Main Street).

"We are celebrating this entire season," says Artistic Director Eileen J. Morris. "This performance is a continuation of our celebration of Houston artists, new and developing works, and highlighting legends who've impacted lives in the U.S. and around the world."

KING: THE LEGACY LIVES ON is a multi-disciplinary performance including songs and monologues commemorating the 50th anniversary of the assassination of Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. A variety of Houston area artists are lending their talents to this event and several other presentations in The Ensemble Theatre's series of upcoming special projects.

Celebrating the Creative Journey is a series of special projects and presentations The Ensemble Theatre has planned outside its main stage season. The upcoming stage readings, exploratory works, and collaborative ventures are designed to showcase developing productions, cultivate new artists, and expose audiences to the variety of artistic expression Houston has to offer.

Celebrating the Creative Journey is generously funded in part by the City of Houston through the Houston Arts Alliance.
