The Texas Rep Theatre Co., Houston's Uptown Classic Theatre, continues a tradition of summer musical entertainments with the off-broadway smash hit Pump Boys & Dinettes. Directed in a new production by Dan O'brien and featuring a stellar cast of Houston's finest performers, Pump Boys & Dinettes will preview tonight, July 10th, on July 11th, celebrate its Gala Opening, and run 4 final performances through August 3rd.

A musical slice of middle-America- On Highway 57, somewhere between Frog Level and Smyrna, stands a gas station and a diner. The pump boys have been known to do some auto repairs, but only when aided by large quantities of time and beer, while the dinettes celebrate their home cooking alongside their boys with charm and enthusiasm. Part musical, part concert, part review, part theatre, and 100% amazing, the six characters in Pump Boys & Dinettes transform an ordinary, typical, and otherwise boring day into a tune-filled occasion that you'll be sure to talk about months later! This Tony award-nominated musical will have you bouncing in your seats and kicking up your heels all the way home.

The Texas Repertory Theatre production of PumpBoys & Dinettes features Texas Rep company members Christina Stroup, Lendsey Kersey, and Steven Fenley as well as Adam Stout, and Roderick Randall making their Texas Rep debut under the direction award-winning director Dan O'brien.
