Celebrate an evening of music and good times with The Official Blues Brothers Revue, Saturday, September 20 at 8 pm at Galveston's Grand 1894 Opera House. Limited tickets are still available to this show, which was postponed last winter by airport-closing snowstorms.

Produced and presented by Dan Aykroyd, Judith Belushi and Music Director Paul Shaffer, The Official Blues Brothers Revue stars Wayne Catania as Jake and Kieron Lafferty as Elwood. Joined by a powerful, eight-piece Rhythm & Blues Band, they recreate the passion, precision, and fun of the original Saturday Night Live Blues Brothers, live on stage at The Grand.

In 1978, Saturday Night Live cast members Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi created The Blues Brothers as part of a musical sketch for the show. Following their two 1980s hit movies, The Blues Brothers emerged as a cultural phenomenon. Today, The Official Blues Brothers Revue pays homage to the swagger, humor, attitude, and musical style of Aykroyd and Belushi in an evening combing comedy, contagious dance moves, and great music - from iconic rock and roll to gospel, rhythm and blues, and soul.

The Official Blues Brother Revue is sponsored in part by Moody Bank, The Islander Magazine and Saltwater Grill. Ticket prices begin at $21. Call for pricing on Box Seats. Special discounts for group and senior tickets may be available. For information about this and other performances scheduled, contact The Grand's box office at 409.765.1894, 800.821.1894, or visit The Grand's website at www.thegrand.com.

Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, The Grand 1894 Opera House is located at 2020 Postoffice Street in Galveston's historic downtown Cultural Arts District, and is recognized as "The Official Opera House of the State of Texas." All major credit cards accepted.
