NEXT TO NORMAL Musical Next for Bayou Theatre Company's 2017 Season

Meet NEXT TO NORMAL's Diana Goodman, a smart and sexy housewife who seems to have it all: a beautiful home, the luxury of money, and an ideal family in the form of her loving husband Dan and their two teenagers, Natalie and Gabe.

We soon learn that everything is not what it seems.

Diana suffers from bipolar disorder and the dangerous delusions that threaten to sever the ties between her family. As the Goodman family encounters the ups and downs of Diana's illness, they each strive for their own identity, or normality. Or at least something next to it...

Bayou Theatre Company member LaKeisha Randle (Lady Day at Emerson's Bar & Grill) returns as Diana in this dynamic Pulitzer-Prize winning musical about love, loss and hope. Lyrics and music by Tom Kitt and Brian Yorkey. BTC's NEXT TO NORMAL also features direction and choreography by Alric Davis and musical direction by Mark Williams.
