The first in Stages Repertory Theatre's 2017 Get Talking Series that highlights important voices in Contemporary Theatre is WHO AM I THIS TIME? (& OTHER CONUNDRUMS OF LOVE) by Aaron Posner and adapted from stories by Kurt Vonnegut. The play makes its regional premiere in Houston on January 25 and runs through February 12.

About WHO AM I THIS TIME?

Directed by long-time Stages and Houston actor and director Sally Edmundson (Driving Miss Daisy, Auntie Mame, Amy's View), WHO AM I THIS TIME? takes a good-natured look at love and the conundrums that accompany it through the interconnected stories of three couples, all set against the backdrop of North Crawford Mask & Wig Club - "the finest community theatre in central Connecticut." The play's New England everyman narrator and the poignant, often comic look at daily life and relationships are gently reminiscent of Thornton Wilder's classic Our Town.

WHO AM I THIS TIME? received its world premiere at Artists Repertory Theatre in Portland, OR in 2012 and has garnered positive reviews for regional productions, with PortlandStageReviews.com noting that audiences will "find themselves enchanted and often laughing out loud." Posner, who also wrote Stages' hugely successful Stupid f-ing Bird (2015), took his inspiration from the three Vonnegut short stories "Long Walk to Forever", "Who Am I This Time?" and "Go Back To Your Precious Wife and Son" to create the script.

WHO AM I THIS TIME? stars Jason Duga (Straight White Men, Bad Jews), Deborah Hope (Shear Madness, Searching for Eden), Blake Jackson (Big Fish), Philip Lehl (Yankee Tavern, Oh, the Humanity!, I am My Own Wife), Josh Morrison (Shear Madness, Driving Miss Daisy, Sexy Laundry), Emily Neves (Miss Teen, Marie Antoinette, Stupid F**king Bird), and Bree Welch (Rabbit Hole). The creative team includes Jodi Bobrovsky, Properties Designer; Jack Ivy, Sound Designer; Ryan McGettigan, Scenic Designer; John Smetak, Lighting Designer; Claremarie Verheyen, Costume Designer; and Sara Brossman Hodgin, Production Stage Manager.

Lehl is known to Houston audiences both for his frequent appearances on stage and as the Co-Artistic Director of Houston's 4th Wall Theatre Company. Hope and Morrison reunite following their recent much-lauded appearance in Stages' hit comedy Shear Madness, while Stages audiences will recognize Neves from her star turns in Marie Antoinette and Stupid f-ing Bird.

WHO AM I THIS TIME? (& OTHER CONUNDRUMS OF LOVE) opens on January 25 and continues through February 12. Post-show Q&A discussions with the cast and creative team will take place Sunday, January 29 at 2:30 p.m., Thursday, February 2 at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, February 5 at 2:30 p.m. For more information, including performance dates and times, please visit www.stagestheatre.com.
