Stage Door Inc. to Present A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM, 2/28-3/23

Midsummer Night's Dream opens February 28, 2014 and runs weekends through March 23, 2014. Shows are Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm and Sundays at 3pm. Tickets are $15 general admission and $12 for students and seniors with identification.

A Midsummer Night's Dream is one of Shakespeare's great comedies. Magic love potions dispensed by feuding fairy royalty turn young lovers into a foursome of confused emotions. This same potion makes a fairy queen endear herself to a man, magically transformed to a donkey. While Puck, the nymph behind it all, enjoys the show. This production marks several firsts for Stage Door Inc. It is the Stage Door directorial debut of Justin Nicholson. He has previously been seen on stage in many SDI productions. It is also Stage Door's first foray into Shakespeare. "I am excited to move from on stage to off, and excited to bring a classic to life in our theatre," said Nicholson.

Stage Door Inc. is a local, community theatre located inside the Pasadena Town Square Mall. It has been voted Best Family Entertainment Venue in Pasadena for the last two years in a row by the Pasadena Citizen readers.

The remainder of the 2014 Season is as follows: Best Little Whorehouse in Texas; Beauty and the Beast; A Streetcar Named Desire; Aladdin, Jr.; Spring Awakening; Evil Dead: The Musical; and A Christmas Story.
