Society for the Performing Arts (SPA), Houston's premier performing arts presenter, announced today that its $10 Student Series tickets are now on sale.
Each season, SPA sets as aside a limited number of $10 student tickets for premium seats to select evening performances throughout the season. This program aims to provide K-12 students and their chaperones from schools and community groups with easier access to world-class performances of virtuosic touring artists from all corners of the globe.
The 2012-2013 Student Series performances include pianist Jean-Yves Thibaudet at 8 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 8; The Royal Dancers and Drummers of Burrundi at 8 p.m., Friday, Nov.9; Motionhouse at 8 p.m., Friday, Feb. 22; and Philip Glass and the Philip Glass Ensemble's Dracula at 8 p.m., Friday, May 10.
There is a minimum of one chaperone per 10 students and a maximum of one chaperone per five students allowed. Both students and chaperones must purchase tickets. Student Series tickets require a minimum of five students per order. There is a maximum of 50 tickets per school for the season allowed.
There is a limited supply of tickets available for each student series performance. All seating is assigned on a first come first serve basis, as orders are received. A 10% nonrefundable deposit must be paid when you make your reservation. The remainder of the balance is due 30 days prior to the performance. If you reserve seats less than 30 days before a performance, payment in full is due at the time of the order. Payments may be made with check or credit card. There are no refunds, exchanges or additions once reservations have been made.
