Due to popular demand, Stages Repertory Theatre presents four more weeks of Shear Madness. Performances continue through September 18!

In this hilarious and hair-raising beauty parlor puzzler, the audience acts as the evening's "Shearlock Holmes", combing through clues, questioning suspects and trying to solve the murder of a renowned pianist who lived above Houston's hottest hair salon. New clues and up to the minute improvisation deliver a different show every night.

Josh Morrison and Mitchell Greco direct the Stages production of the thrilling comedy whodunit. Justin Doran, Deborah Hope, Mark Ivy, Morrison, and Nathan Wilson star. The production features special guest star Denise Fennell. Fennell previously appeared at the Stages in LATE NITE CATECHISM.

Broadway World critic Brett Cullum praises the cast: "Stages Repertory Theatre's creation of this SHEAR MADNESS is buoyed by an outstanding cast that handles comedy and improvisation with ease. The six actors onstage are quick on their feet, and so funny they can break each other up in many instances as the story unfolds. ... It's the company that should make this one a hit!" Paul Pörtner's Shear Madness is adapted by Marilyn Abrams and Bruce Jordan. The Boston Globe voted the play "Best Comedy of the Year" seven times and both the Chicago Sun-Times and the Philadelphia Enquirer named Shear Madness "Best Play of the Year." Shear Madness also holds the Guinness World Record for longest-running U.S. play.
