Jonathan Larson's Broadway musical phenomenon tells the story of a group of impoverished young artists and musicians struggling to survive and create in New York's Lower East Side. It takes place in the thriving days of Bohemian Alphabet City, under the shadow of AIDS. It is an unforgettable story of a group of young artists learning to survive, falling in love, finding their voices and living for today. Urban and gritty, this Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize-winning musical brims with raw emotion and infectious enthusiasm.
This will be Stage Door Inc.'s second time to perform the piece. Audiences voted it as one of their top four past performances. Recast and reimagined, they are excited to stage it yet again.
