"Murder on the Nile" will run at Clear Creek Community Theatre (CCCT) from January 16 to February 1, 2015. BroadwayWorld has a sneak peek at the cast below!
After Simon leaves his fiancée Jacqueline to marry heiress Kay Ridgeway, Jacqueline plots revenge and follows the couple on their honeymoon down the Nile. When Kay ends up dead, murder is the only answer, and Jacqueline is the only suspect...or so it seems. For also aboard are a motley group of passengers who are all revealed to have mysterious connections to Kay and her fortune. Once again the Queen of Mystery has developed an ingenious plot that will keep you guessing until the very end!
Clear Creek Community Theatre has produced an Agatha Christie play every January for the past seven years. Director Aprille Meek notes "I really like the challenge of presenting a show that people have probably seen before but can't quite remember the ending, the "who-dun-it" reveal. And so, if we can fool them into not being sure who the murderer is at some point during the play, we've succeeded in making it a new mystery experience for them. For audience members who haven't seen the show it's an opportunity to create a brain teaser up to the final reveal." Meek added the cast is working on accents and social status mannerisms, not only to add to the depth of the characters and accent those "red herrings" that are in the script.
"Murder on the Nile" opens Friday, January 16th, and runs through Sunday, February 1st. Tickets are $15 for adults and $13 for students/seniors. Group rates are available.
