Obsidian Theater creates a new holiday tradition with the original work, A Drag Christmas Carol. Featuring Miss Gay Texas America 2018, Regina Blake-DuBois, this jukebox musical runs November 29 - December 15, 2018.
A hard hearted politician, experiences a change of heart with the help of some drag queen, ghosts in this jukebox Christmas musical. Written by Rhett Martinez, A Drag Christmas Carol is sure to be a fun and unique holiday experience.
Obsidian Theater is excited to welcome Miss Gay Texas America 2018, Regina Blake-DuBois to our stage as she helps a hard-hearted politician played by Obsidian Theater Artistic Director, Tom Stell, learn the true meaning of Christmas. Other talents joining her on this journey of self enlightenment are Arianna Bermudez, Dainielle Bunch, Haley Hussey, Madison Mapes, Jarred Popoff, Sammi Sicinski, Kyle Stephens, PaigeThomas, and Caleb Wyrick. Bringing this new holiday tradition to life are co-directors of the wildly popular Evil Dead: The Musical, Kelsey McMillan and Tom Stell. Helping this talented due create a a new holiday tradition are Sara Denton (Stage Manager), Zoe Cassaday (Assistant Stage Manager), Kiefer Slaton (Musical Director), Nolan LeGault (Scenic Designer), Allen Titel (Lighting Designer), Jarred Popoff (Sound Designer), Caroline Harrell and Eddie Edge (Costume Designers).
Performances of A Drag Christmas Carol are November 29 - December 15, Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings at 8 pm. Industry Night will on Monday, December 10 at 8 pm with discounted tickets available for those who work in the industry. The box office opens an hour before curtain with seating beginning 30 minutes before show time.
