Burnt at the Steak, created and performed by Carolann Valentino, will make its Houston Premiere beginning November 20, 2013.

Burnt at the Steak is the critically acclaimed one woman musical comedy based on a true story about a young artist of Italian descent who leaves Texas for New York City to pursue a theatrical career. She lands a "rare" day job managing an infamous steakhouse in NYC. As the stress of trying to balance a performing arts career, along with the urging of her psychic (or is it psychotic?) Italian-American mother, her day job takes its toll emotionally and physically, she finds herself faced with having to make a choice with having to make a choice between following her dreams and holding on to the security of a six figure salary with all the perks. Through song, dance and comedy Carolann morphs into 18 hilarious characters - each show becomes a unique and spontaneous theatrical experience.

Burnt at the Steak has been awarded BEST of the Fringe Festivals in Calgary, Vancouver, Edmonton and Boulder and has played to sold-out runs in Orlando, Dallas, Denver and Fresno. This production is generously underwritten by Bryan Scrivner.
