Mercury Announces 2012-2013 Season

With a new name comes a new brand season. Artistic Director and Conductor Antoine Plante announced the orchestra's 2012-2013 season featuring a new Neighborhood Concert Series and a seven-program Downtown Season at the Wortham Center. "We are thrilled to continue to expand our reach in the community by launching our new neighborhood program that will bring our music closer to our audience," said Plante.

Highlights for Mercury's season include works by Bach, Mozart, Mendelssohn and Schubert, and collaborations with renowned soloists, including the orchestra's first collaboration with Grammy Award winning soprano Ana María Martínez. Mercury will continue its tradition of performing on period instruments to recreate music the way that it was heard when it was composed.
