As part of Brazos Bookstore's Summer of Shakespeare: Scenes for Kids, Main Street Theater (MST) will present a 45 minute adaptation of Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream, performed by teens for children ages 6 - 10 on Saturday, August 8 at 2pm at Brazos Bookstore, 2421 Bissonnet Street near Kirby Drive, 77005. There will be a Question & Answer Session following the performance. The cast is comprised of 10 MST students from the Greater Houston Area. The production is directed by MST's Director of Education Jonathan Gonzalez. "For this production, MST students were encouraged to explore what makes theater compelling to younger children, encouraging them to engage with their senses and to respond," says Gonzalez. The script was adapted by former MST student, now a playwrighting major at DePaul University, Grace Cunyus, who is also assistant directing.

The event is free and open to all.
