Main Street Theater's Theater for Youth program, Houston's most-attended theater for young audiences, will open its new season in the MATCH, the Midtown Arts & Theater Center Houston. The MATCH is Houston's exciting new destination for performing and visual arts. Located at Main and Holman in Midtown, the MATCH will be a home for a broad spectrum of Houston's leading and emerging arts organizations. MST's Theater for Youth will be an anchor tenant of the MATCH.

"I am so excited that we are finally moving to our new facility at the MATCH at the end of the month," says Vivienne M. St. John, MST's Theater for Youth Producing Director. "We had outgrown our previous home and were in a temporary space this past season. Moving to the MATCH allows us to have a home that meets all our needs - more seats, school bus lanes, state of the art technology, all in a central location. We can't wait to reach out to thousands more children and families and bring the excitement and magic of live theater to the Houston community."

The season begins in October with a fully-realized musical based on the beloved children's classic Goodnight Moon. Those attending one of the opening day performances (1pm or 4pm on Sunday, October 11) are invited to join us for our MATCH Opening Celebration from 2:30 - 3:30pm. There will be face-painting, eats & treats, goody bags, and more.
