It is hard enough for Mr. Popper, a simple painter, to support himself and his family. The addition of twelve penguins makes it impossible to make both ends meet - until Mr. Popper has the splendid idea to turn the talented penguins into a traveling vaudeville act! The entire family will be tapping along with Mr. Popper and his "performing" feathered friends. A holiday treat for the whole family! Recommended for Kindergarten and up. Children under the age of 3 (including sleeping babies) not allowed in the theater.
The production is directed and choreographed by Jimmy Phillips (Pinkalicious, A Charlie Brown Christmas, The Wizard of Oz and more at MST). Steven Jones is the Musical Director. Brock Hatton will play Mr. Popper. Brock is also starring in Main Street Theater's MainStage production of Miss Bennet: Christmas at Pemberley this holiday season. The rest of the cast includes Noah Alderfer, Maggie Ellison, Aaron Herrera, Bryan Kaplun, Bonnie Langthorn, Chaney Moore (also starring in Miss Bennet...), Natalie Nassar, Angela Pinina, Taelon Stonecipher, Jonathan Teverbaugh, and Elizabeth Tinder.
The design team is Amber Stepanik (costumes), Marcos Everstijn (set), Katie Gruenhagen (lighting), Shawn W. St. John (sound), and Mark B. Robbins (props). Danielle Docwra is the production stage manager. Saraiah Gonzalez is the performance stage manager.
