On Friday, June 9, enjoy an outdoor film screening of Jane Austen's Persuasion amid the Camellia Gardens at Rienzi. The film follows Anne Elliot seven years after she was persuaded to break off her engagement to young seaman Frederick Wentworth. He returns, now a wealthy captain, finding Anne's family on the brink of financial ruin. Will the romance be rekindled?
Before the film, visitors can stroll through the galleries of European decorative arts, paintings, furnishings, porcelain, or snap a photo in the carriage photo booth. Doors open at 7:30 p.m., the screening begins at 8:45 p.m.

Rienzi, the MFAH house museum for European decorative arts, is the former home of philanthropists Carroll Sterling Masterson and Harris Masterson III. Opened to the public in 1999, Rienzi houses a substantial collection of European decorative arts, paintings, furniture, metalwork and an extensive holding of porcelain. Rienzi's house and garden welcomes visitors each year for tours, family programs, lectures, concerts and a variety of special events.
