The Department of Theatre and Dance at Texas State University will present the legendary Broadway musical, A Chorus Line, September 26-October 1 in the Performing Arts Center.

Performances will be at 7:30 p.m. September 26-30, with a 2 p.m. matinee October 1.

Directed by Cassie Abate, A Chorus Line takes place on the bare stage of a Broadway theatre and follows 17 dancers through the audition process. It offers a glimpse into the lives of these performers as they share life events that impacted who they are and why they became dancers.

With music by Marvin Hamlisch, lyrics by Edward Kleban and book by James Kirkwood and Nicholas Dante, A Chorus Line won nine Tony Awards and the 1976 Pulitzer Prize for Drama on its way to becoming one of the longest-running shows in Broadway history.

Individual tickets start at $15 for adults and $8 for students, and may be purchased by phone at (512) 245-6500 or online at txstatepresents.com. The show is sponsored by Legacy Mutual Mortgage.

Founded in 1899, Texas State University is among the largest universities in Texas with an enrollment of 38,849 students on campuses in San Marcos and Round Rock. Texas State's 180,000-plus alumni are a powerful force in serving the economic workforce needs of Texas and throughout the world.
