KVPAC Performs at Young Audiences of Houston, 9/11

Join Katy Visual & Performing Arts Center's (KVPAC) Books Alive! Literacy Through the Arts Program for a full day of visual and performing arts on Saturday, September 11, 2010, when Young Audiences of Houston (YAH) hosts its annual PREVIEWS at the High School for Performing and Visual Arts, located at 4001 Stanford in Houston, TX from 9:00am to 2:30 pm. Designed for principals, educators, administrators, and PTA/PTO members, as well as families, arts enthusiasts and patrons, PREVIEWS will showcase over thirty (30) YAH artists/ensembles offering a vast array of visual art workshops and unique presentations in the performing arts that are designed for PK-12 schools and community venues.

KVPAC's Books Alive! will proudly perform The Three Nasty Gnarlies beginning at 1:45pm in the Denney Theatre. YAH staff and artists will be on hand to answer questions, discuss program planning, customization, and funding options. This event is sponsored by the Center for Performing Arts Medicine at Methodist Hospital, offered free of charge with educators receiving CPE credit hours by attending, and features lunch provided by Niko Niko's.  For more information about KVPAC, visit www.kvpac.org.
