The Grand 1894 Opera House hosts two performances of the Broadway musical thriller Jekyll & Hyde, today and Saturday, February 20 and 21, 2015 at 8 pm. Tickets may be purchased at The Grand's Box Office, 2020 Postoffice Street, by calling 409.765.1894, 800.821.1894, or online at www.thegrand.com.

Based on the1886 novella The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr. Hyde by Robert Louis Stevenson, Jekyll &Hyde had its world premiere at the Alley Theatre in Houston, prior to its Broadway debut in 1997. It returned to Broadway in a 2013 revival. For its newest National Tour, director and choreographer Paul Stancato has connected to the grittiness of Stevenson's original story and its focus on schizophrenia and the duality of good and evil within each of us.

Serbian-born, Twin-Cities raised Aleks Knezevich, age 28, plays the title role in this acclaimed touring production, having coveted the opportunity since he was 17 years old! He has joined the tour after completing his first year of medical school at the University of Iowa. The story of a genial English doctor whose lab experiment inadvertently transforms him into an evil alternate version of himself is both a powerful theatrical examination of split personalities and a celebration of Broadway's ability to move, delight, and transform audiences with stunning music and inspired stagecraft. These performances are sponsored in part by AM1070.
