TUTS Humphreys School of Musical Theatre returns to Miller Outdoor Theatre with The Addams Family, a creepy, kooky, mysterious and spooky musical comedy that will delight the whole family.

Based on the iconic characters created by legendary cartoonist Charles Addams, this ghoulishly fun Broadway musical follows an now grown up Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, who has fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family - a man her parents have never met. And if that weren't upsetting enough, Wednesday confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez Addams must do something he's never done before - keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday's 'normal' boyfriend and his parents.

The Addams Family will be directed by Rachael Logue and choreographed by Mikeitta Williams. For the first time in TUTS history, music for the production will be provided by The Conrad O. Johnson Regional Youth Orchestra, which is led by Artie Onayemi, Executive Director for the orchestra.

"Our students are delighted to return once again to Miller Outdoor Theatre this summer with a show the whole family will enjoy," said Clifford Alexander, Director of Education for TUTS Humphreys School of Musical Theatre. "Additionally, we are excited to partner with The Conrad O. Johnson Regional Youth Orchestra on the music for the show."

The Addams Family runs at Miller Outdoor Theatre June 5 through 8, and as always, is free to the public. It's a perfect way to spend a summer evening with the whole family. Daytime performances take place June 5 through 7 at 11am, and evening performances are on June 7 and 8 beginning at 8:15pm.

Seats in the covered seating area are ticketed. Free tickets are available at the Miller Outdoor Theatre box office on the day of the performance between the hours of 10:30am and 1pm, limited to four tickets per person over the age of 16, while seats remain. If seats remain at 1pm, the box office will reopen one hour before show time to distribute the remaining tickets.

Avoid waiting in line for the evening performances. Support Theatre Under The Stars with a donation of $50, and we'll set aside one ticket for assigned seating under the covered pavilion for you! Contact vip@tuts.com for more information.

Hillside seating is not ticketed. Blankets and lawn chairs are welcome. Parking is free. For more information, visit the Miller Outdoor Theatre website.
