Dirt Dogs Theatre Co. announced the lineup for its 207-2018 season, featuring a contemporary comedy, a tale of redemption, and the staged adaptation of a cinematic classic.

Opening the season in August is Life X 3 by French playwright, Yasmina Reza. In March 2018, the company will produce The Exonerated by Jessica Blank and Erik Jensen. Closing out the season in May 2018 will be the staged adaptation of the Charles Webb novel and Mike Nichols film, The Graduate by Terry Johnson.

Life X 3 will run from August 25-September 9; The Exonerated, March 9-24, 2018; and The Graduate, May 25-June 9, 2018. All performances will take place at the MATCH - Midtown Arts & Theatre Center Houston, 3400 Main St.

Life X 3, from the award-winning playwright of Art and God of Carnage, is a witty and acerbic view of how the simplest and most random of events can change the outcomes in life. Henry and Sonia are planning a dinner party for Henry's influential co-worker Hubert and his wife Inez. When the dinner guests arrive on the wrong night, Henry and Sonia are forced to receive them with no warning, no food, and an unpredictable six-year-old who won't go to sleep. Henry has just one shot at getting Hubert to recommend his longed-for promotion. Or might he have two; or even three?

The Exonerated tells the true stories of six wrongfully convicted death row inmates in their own words. Harrowing tales of false accusations are balanced with inspiring stories of hope through first person accounts interwoven with scenes played out in prisons and court rooms. These journeys to redemption remind us that freedom is not free.

In The Graduate, Mike Nichols' cinematic classic is brought to life on the stage. It is 1964 and Benjamin Braddock is leaving behind the safety of college for an unknown future full of insecurities. Enter Mrs. Robinson, the frustrated wife of his father's business partner, and Ben gets an education not found in any college curriculum.

Executive Director, Trevor B. Cone will direct Life X 3. Artistic Director, Malinda L. Beckham will direct The Exonerated. Acclaimed Houston film-maker and stage director, Travis Ammons will direct The Graduate.
