Cone Man Running Productions will present its 11th Spontaneous Smattering - a 24 hour play festival for charity!

It's back! The craziest night of scripted theatre you have ever experienced is back to not only entertain but, as always, to raise funds and do some good in our community!

On Saturday, December 2nd, your free shot will be waiting for you at the door and the combined efforts of over 50 people will be on display in a completely random and raucous night of theatre not suitable for all ages.

The Lowdown:

At 7PM on Friday, December 1st, the writers will meet and randomly select their actors, get their other parameters and endeavor (sober or not) to write a presentable short play. They arrive back at the theater on Saturday, December 2nd, scripts in hand at 8AM to hand off to the directors and casts who have until 7PM to run around and rehearse, find props and costumes and be amazing for two performances that very night - one at 7PM and one at 9:45PM. YES, IT'S ONE NIGHT ONLY - SATURDAY DECEMBER 2ND!

This will be at our home at The Beacon Theatre, 5102 Navigation Blvd., Houston, Texas 77011.

And as always you - the audience - will get to vote on awards such as Best Use of Genre, Best Use of Prop and the coveted "Best In Show"!

Tickets: Only $20 and all the money will go to again be donated to local area educators. If you are a teacher in Harris or one of the surrounding counties, please register on our website. At the end of the night on December 2nd, we will draw 10 names at random and each winner will win 1/10th of the ticket proceeds from that night! In June, we awarded 10 teachers $300 each!
