Company OnStage's production of Thunder Rock, a drama by Robert Ardrey, will close on February 20, 2010.

A Lake Michigan lighthouse is safe haven for a disillusioned war veteran who elects to isolate himself from society. The imagined ghosts from a shipwreck on the lake ninety years earlier give him the confidence to reconnect with the world he deserted.

Thunder Rock was written in 1939 by Robert Ardrey and made a brief appearance on Broadway for three weeks, but it had a far more successful theatre run in London. It was adapted into a 1942 film starring Michael Redgrave, Barbara Mullen, James Mason and Lilli Palmer, produced by John and Roy Boulting's Charter Films. The play became much more popular in regional theatre in the United States after its theatre and film successes in England.

Performances are on Friday and Saturday nights and begin at 8:00 pm. Tickets are $15.00 with special pricing for seniors and students. Tickets can be purchased by calling 713-726-1219 or visiting www.companyonstage.org.

The Company OnStage serves the community by offering professional quality performances of contemporary and classic theater for children and adults in an intimate setting at affordable prices. COS provides the opportunity for everyone in the community to participate in theater by attending performances, taking classes, or volunteering for all phases of production.
