CURIOUS GEORGE Takes the Stage At Main Street Theater  ImageMain Street Theater (MST) presents the fun, family musical Curious George: The Golden Meatball, based on the books by Margret and H.A. Rey and the play owned by Universal Stage Productions.

Performances are Sundays, September 30 and October 7 at 12:30pm and 3:30pm and Saturdays, October 13 - 27 at 11:00am and 2:00pm at MST's Midtown location, 3400 Main St. in Matchbox4. All tickets are on sale via phone at 713.524.6706 or online at MainStreetTheater.com. Tickets are $18 - $24.

Main Street Theater offers Accommodations Performances. There is a Sensory-Friendly performance September 30 at 3:30pm. The Audio Descriptive performance (headsets available) is October 27 at 11:00am. There is an American Sign Language Shadow Interpreted performance on October 27 at 2:00pm. Large print playbills are also available at Will Call.

About Curious George: The Golden Meatball

Everyone's favorite curious little monkey and his friend in the yellow hat are coming to the stage in a delightful musical for all ages! All-You-Can-Eat Meatball Day comes just once a year, and George always helps his friend, Chef Pisghetti, cook delicious meatballs and serve them to the hungry crowd. But this year, the crowd has vanished!! Determined to help his friend, George leads the audience through a fun-filled adventure where he learns about Rome, friendship, and the "secret ingredient" to cooking! Recommended for Pre-Kindergarten and up. Children under the age of 3 (including sleeping babies) not allowed in the theater.

The production is directed by Robin Robinson. Eduardo Guzman is the Musical Director. Daria Allen is choreographer. The cast includes Aaron Herrera as George, Malik Cole as the Man in the Yellow Hat, and Bryan Kaplun, Angela Pinina, Jonathan Teverbaugh, and Elizabeth Tinder.

The design team is Amber Stepanik (costumes), Liz Freese (set), Hudson Davis (lighting), Yezminne Zepeda (sound), and Tina Montgomery (props). Danielle Docwra is the production stage manager. Amanda Arnold is the Stage Manager.

Main Street Theater provides theater experiences for all ages. Founded in 1975, our MainStage produces professional, intimate, literary plays for adults and operates under an Actors' Equity Association union contract; our Theater for Youth produces professional, engaging productions based on children's literature for families and school groups, both in-house and on tour around Texas; and we offer Education and Outreach programs on-site and at satellite locations around the Greater Houston area for youth aged 4 - high school.
