"To be, or not to be" at the play...definitely TO BE! Come see Boiling Point Players inaugural production of In Juliet's Garden, a play for Shakespeare fans and newbies alike!

In the Judy Elliot McDonald play, In Juliet's Garden, Juliet Capulet invites four other Shakespearean heroines-Desdemona, Katharina, Ophelia and Portia-to a special lunch to lobby William Shakespeare to change important elements in their respective plots. Unable-or unwilling-to attend, Shakespeare sends his literary agent and editor, Jacqueline de Boys, in his place. Tensions boil as each lady eloquently pleads her case to Jacqueline. With Shakespeare's precious plots on the line, who will triumph?

Lauren Hainley (Director) has worked locally as well as in Arkansas and Minnesota. She is a former student of Academia del'Arte in Arezzo, Italy and a Graduate of Hendrix College with a Bachelor of Arts. Ms. Hainley's stage credits include: Urinetown, The Tempest,Imagination Island, Duchess of Malfi, Princess and the Pea, Frosty the Snowman, Winnie the Pooh, Cinderella and Rapunzel and TheFrog Prince. Lauren can be seen in Playhouse 1960's upcoming production of Children's Hour.

Lori King Brown (Nurse) At the age of 11, Lori began appearing in theatrical productions and traveling the United States with a singing and dancing group, performing at such venues as DisneyWorld and Loretta Lynn's Dude Ranch.

Since then, Lori has appeared in over 30 theatrical productions including Grease, The Music Man, and the world premiere of A Little Piece of Heaven, in which she debuted the role of Judith. Lori currently performs with the improvised documentary team, The Mockumentalists, serves on the planning committee for the Houston Improv Festival, and enjoys creating Medial Phonies sketches with her fearless writing partner, Skippy Cooper.

Katy Burns (Ophelia) is thrilled to be working with the tremendous talent that is Boiling Point Players! Katy was most recently seen on the Wortham stage in HGO's Das Rheingold. Some favorite credits include her most recent Cabaret production of A Night on the Edge (shhh.. don't slip), Velma Kelly in Chicago, Adelaide in Guys and Dolls, Anna in The Jeweler's Shop, Lost and Found (FringeNYC) in collaboration with Rogue Machine Theatre (LA), Songs For A New World (Phoenix Theatre Inc. Co.), the North American Tour of CATS (Rumpelteazer, u/s Victoria, Sillabub), Lead Vocalist with Royal Caribbean International, and Grusha in The Caucasian Chalk Circle with Roxanna Stuart.

Autumn Clack (Juliet) is a graduate of Adelphi University with a major in Acting and a minor in Dance. She also attended London Dramatic Academy where she studied the works of Shakespeare and stage combat. Clack is actively involved in the Houston theatre community and has previously served as House Manager and board member for Phoenix Theatre Company. She is also one-half of two-woman improv group Ophelia's Rope.

Melanie Martin (Portia) has been seen throughout the Houston theatre world. Recent credits include Your Family Sucks, The Laramie Project, Extremities, Cactus Flower, The Miss Firecracker Contest, The Cocktail Hour, and The Discussion of the 'L' Word. Melanie's favorite Atlanta theatre credits include Dracula, The Tibetan Book Of The Dead Or How Not To Do It Again, A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum, and Fefu And Her Friends.

Ruth McCleskey (Desdemona) graduated from the University of Houston, magna cum laude, with a degree in Theater. Among her favorite theatre credits are Sylvia, Hedda Gabler (playing the title role), The Truth of a Lie at the Heart of a Deception, Wizard of Oz, The AntiChrist Cometh, Macbeth Mixup, Three Bags Full, Romeo and Juliet, The Nerd, Sordid Lives, Pinocchio Commedia, You Can't Take It With You, Romantic Comedy, Carl the Second, and Blueness/Grayness. She is also one-half of two-woman improv group Ophelia's Rope (OpheliasRope.com).

Regina Ohashi (Katharina) is excited to be a part of Boiling Point Players' inaugural show. She was last seen at Studio 101 in Macbethwith Stark Naked Theatre Company. Recent credits: Dinner with Friends, Museum of Dysfunction V, Good, Unlock What's Inside You,The Women, The Wayside Motor Inn, and The Best Christmas Pageant Ever. Film/TV: The Ultimate Commitment, Private Guys,Descension, Troupe (Web Series), Patriot Act, Nosy, Sunshine, Book, Deck Chairs, Half Pipe, and The Last Poem. Renata Smith (Jacqueline de Boys) is excited to be gracing the stage with Boiling Point Players after a brief hiatus to be a mommy again. Selected credits include Anne Sullivan in Miracle Worker, Ellie in Heartbreak House, Louka in Arms and the Man, the title role in Cinderella, as well as a title role in Sylvia.

In Juliet's Garden will open Thursday, May 22, 2014 at 8:00 pm and will run through May 30, 2014. The play will be followed by an improv show, featuring Ophelia's Rope and local improv troupes Baby Knuckle, The Epilogue HD, Guns for Hire and Vaudprov. All performances are at Studio 101, at 1824 Spring Street, Houston, TX (Just Northwest of Downtown).
