Society for the Performing Arts presents the 2017 Ballet Hispanico Summer Dance Intensive June 6-16 at Episcopal High School, with registration from now through May 18. The intensive experience is designed to serve the needs of emerging dancers in the Houston community and supports a 360-degree approach to the development of the dancer. It has been curated to satisfy the cultivation of technique, versatility in fusion of forms and disciplines, and the education of both the dancers and their families to understand how to navigate a dancer's life.

Dancers ages 11-19 are invited to attend. There are two tracks, Junior High and Pre-Professional, offering classes in ballet, flamenco, and contemporary dance, as well as strength and conditioning, improvisation, and Ballet Hispanico repertoire classes. There is no audition required to participate in either track; however, participants must attend a placement class on Tuesday, June 6. Students will participate in a showcase performance on Friday, June 16 at Episcopal High School's Underwood Theater. Scholarships and discounts for early registration are available.

June 6 -16; registration open through May 18. Episcopal High School, 4650 Bissonnet, Bellaire, TX 77401. Register at www.spahouston.org/ballethispanico
