Choreographers have been announced for the 10th BC BEAT on Monday November 9th and includes a powerful mix of Broadway veterans and emerging creatives. The lineup demonstrates an inspired and shared passion to experiment, connect, and create new work. In celebration of the 10th BC BEAT, the program grows from eight to ten choreographers to introduce Andy Blankenbuehler (Director/Choreographer THE BANDSTAND, Choreographer HAMILTON), Karine Plantadit (AFTER MIDNIGHT, MOVIN' OUT), Victor Wisehart (AN AMERICAN IN PARIS), Joseph Wiggan (Cirque du Soleil), and Danny Gardner (DAMES AT SEA) alongside five artists who have contributed to BC BEAT in the recent five years. They are Sonya Tayeh (Choreographer THE WILD PARTY, KUNG FU), Daniel J. Watts (HAMILTON, AFTER MIDNIGHT), Al Blackstone (2011 Capezio A.C.E. Award Winner), Marcos Santana (ON YOUR FEET), and creative director and producer of BC BEAT, Jennifer Jancuska.

Doors open at 7pm and guests are welcomed into Cielo (18 Little W. 12th Street) with a groove set forth by BC BEAT DJ, Justin Johnston (RENT). Expect to enjoy a drink from the full service bar, connect with choreographers and enjoy the dance floor with a cast of more than 20 Broadway performers before choreographers are introduced at 7:30pm to kick off the performances. For those who attend and contribute to BC Beat, the evening is as much about conversation as it is dance, performance and party. "Although so many of my personal dancer heroes and friends are presenting work at BC BEAT my favorite part of the event is making new friends." Al Blackstone continues, "I can't wait to have conversations with strangers that turn into friendships that could potentially turn into collaborations."
