After the Rain King, by Steph DeFerie and directed by Jonathan Gonzalaz, is coming to the Main Street Theater - Chelsea Market 4617 Montrose Blvd., Houston, TX 77006.  Performances run from November 6 - 8, 2009, Friday and Saturday at 7:30 PM and Sunday at 3:30 PM.

Glory may be just a little kid, but she's in big trouble—she has accidentally unleashed the ruthless Rain King, Master of Sorrows, by opening an old locked book. Vowing vengeance on the world that imprisoned him, the Rain King kidnaps Glory's friend Pete and disappears back into the world of books. Of course Glory and her friends must follow, and soon they find themselves pulled from story to story—battling pirates, helping young Arthur pull the sword from the stone, and facing down bank robbers in the Wild West—in their quest to set things right back in their world.   9 Houston-area children perform this grand adventure tale!

All tickets are $5.
