A.D. Players, one of Houston's oldest and largest resident theatre companies, is pleased to announce the appointment of Sheri Foreman as Director of Development. Foreman was most recently President and CEO of Houston's Commission for Adult Education and Skills Development.
"Sheri was an easy choice for the Director of Development position," said A. D. Players Executive Director Jake Speck. "Her impressive professional resume and experience speaks for itself, and her passion for the arts, education, community service and economic development align with our mission to produce excellent theatre from a Christian worldview that will appeal to Houston's diverse community. We're thrilled to introduce her to the A. D. Players' dedicated family of supporters."
As Director of Development, Foreman will work with the executive board of directors to identify new revenue streams and business opportunities for the Jeannette and L.M. George Theater.
Foreman has been honored by Former First Lady Barbara Bush for her efforts to improve Adult Education and Literacy in Houston. She recently served on the Texas Workforce Commission Adult Education Advisory Board, the Houston Community College Adult Education Steering Committee and Advisory Board, the City of Houston Task Force for Welcoming Houston: Department of Immigration and Refugee Services and The Mayor's Task Force for Arts Funding. She is a proud fellow of the American Leadership Forum, Class xxII.
A Houstonian and Spring Branch native, Foreman attended Texas A&M for both her undergraduate and graduate work.
